Woohoo! You Made It

Woohoo! You made it to the summit of the Chilkoot Pass. What an amazing trip full of courage, determination and love.

Shaun is the most supportive and encouraging husband. Kenny the super dog is amazing and deserves nothing but the best!

Bring on Europe in one month!

Reliving Precious Memories

My husband proposed to me 11 years ago on this summit.

He asked me again this time if I would marry him all over again. I am a very lucky woman and look forward to many more hikes with him.

Conquering Fear

I conquered my fears!

It was more than I imagined – way more! Not a question of stamina, but facing fear and winning. I feel my steel!

50 Year Milestone

Thus, my 50th year, this journey is one of my fifty firsts in this year 2016. This is my highlight of my life adventures! Met a man 77 years young this morning traversing the trail. He climbed Mt. Rainer 26 times with 4 winter trips. What an inspiration! This is his second time on Chilkoot. May my life be filled with more rich history like those who have gone before me and always be encouraged to never stop exploring. You are amazing – keep on keeping on!

Inner Strength

Kwe Kwe Maya,

I am really proud of you for making this journey. I think you are capable of many things. Be confident! May this travel on the Chilkoot connect you to your inner strength and may you be blessed with a light load to carry.

Much love!

A New Perspective

Sometimes looking down ain’t so bad – there are your feet! And plenty of gorgeous tiny flowers you may have never noticed.

And when you look up again, the views are even more grand, thanks to your new perspective.
